I am looking for work in a hard economy. I have been developing software, installing software, and training clients in the use of software since 1981. I have 15 years experience in Oracle Applications Development with PL/SQL, SQL, Forms, Reports through 10g. Additionally, I have 10 years experience in Oracle Project Accounting (Costing, Billing, Resource Management) Procure to Pay and Order to Cash through r12. I have worked throughout the Americas, Europe, and The Middle East and Far East for the US Military, Oracle, Energy Companies, Telecommunications Companies, Manufacturing Companies and the Tourist Industry. I am fluent in Spanish and English.

Coming of the Sabbath Day

The sabbath is about to start in Volcan, Chiriqui, another week has come and gone.  Now I am able to enter into God's rest.  I am able to reflect on what has transpired in my life this week.  The enclosure was finished for my animals.  It is behind the house in an area that measures 20 feet by 15 feet by 20 feet tall, it has trees to climb on and a hammock to swing on.  The Kinkajous, of which I have 6, sleep all day in their nest boxes along with a female kinkajou.  The young male raccoon sleeps by himself most of the times in a large nesting box, but at times I will find a female kinkajou sleeping with him.  The enclosure has a pond, stream and waterfall and lots of space for the animals to sleep and play.  Most of the animals were found in conditions that were very restrictive and with very little to eat.  Now their lives are full of pleasures.  I love my animals very much, and I make sure that they have the best of food, the best of space and the best of companionship.  I realize that if I can love my animals that much, just imagine how much more my God, by Father loves me and wants the best for me.  He cares for my every need.  He promises me with food and clothing, nothing more.  But he has blessed me with so much more.

I attended a Seventh Day Adventist campaign in Volcan this past week and they spoke of the 'Last Days' and 'Sunday Law' as it would impact on my life.  The signs of the 'End Times' are everywhere.  We see falling value to the US Dollar, rising food and fuel prices, wars, famines, diseases, earthquakes, and many other disasters.  The 10 virgines in Matt 25:1-13

25 "Then the kingdom of heaven will be comparable to ten virgins, who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. 2 "Five of them were foolish, and five were prudent. 3 "For when the foolish took their lamps, they took no oil with them, 4 but the prudent took oil in flasks along with their lamps. 5 "Now while the bridegroom was delaying, they all got drowsy and began to sleep. 6 "But at midnight there was a shout, 'Behold, the bridegroom! Come out to meet him.' 7 "Then all those virgins rose and trimmed their lamps. 8 "The foolish said to the prudent, 'Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.' 9 "But the prudent answered, 'No, there will not be enough for us and you too; go instead to the dealers and buy some for yourselves.' 10 "And while they were going away to make the purchase, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding feast; and the door was shut. 11 "Later the other virgins also came, saying, 'Lord, lord, open up for us.' 12 "But he answered, 'Truly I say to you, I do not know you.' 13 "Be on the alert then, for you do not know the day nor the hour.

The 'Oil' is the Holy Spirit, we must be ready for the coming of Jesus.  We must study the Bible and pray.  We must clean our house and be ready for the return of Jesus Christ.  I praise the Lord for the Sabbath, the day of rest, and all of the blessing that he has given me.

New home in Volcan, Chiriqui, Panama

I was able to purchase a home with land in Volcan, Chiriqui, Republic of Panama because of my work with the Ministry of Defense in Iraq and the Gold Mine in the Dominican Republic with Barrick Gold. Barrick Gold was implementing Oracle Purchasing and Project Costing for their mining operations. I have asked Gail and Stan Mark to assist me in the cleanup of the project. There were so many things that need to be fixed, I changed the cement kitchen for a wood cabinet kitchen with tile top. I have added a 550 gallon water tank with water filters and water pump and on demand gas water heater to provide hot, clean water to my home. It is interesting how so few homes have water available, much less hot, clean water with pressure on demand. God has blessed me with the new home. Just 6 months ago, I did not have a glimmer of hope for a home, but all changed. I have been working over 10 years to be able to purchase my home. It was always out of reach. I am not able to borrow, and since I have a job and life style with highs and lows of cash flow. I was able to pay for the house with cash. The project ended with Barrick Gold in perfect timing with the remodeling project.

I will be building gardens around the home make with zoonet to keep the my animals in and the strong winds out. I hope to control the environment within the enclosure to allow for the grow of rich vegetation, plants, flowers, vegetables, trees, animals and insects. I am planning for streams, waterfalls, ponds and such with paths and bridges over and around the streams and raised beds.

Kinkajous

I now have a group of kinkajous that live and travel with me regularly. I have 2 males and 3 females. JoJo is the oldest female at 6 years old, Honey is a 2 year old female, Linda is a 1 year old female, Little Boy is 2 years old male and Rocky 2 is a 10 month old male. Rocky has moved to the Eco-Resort in Panama.

God is in this place

You know, there might be good reasons to be out of Iraq and there may be valid reasons that we should be in Iraq, Leaders may have misled their people, they may have made the decision that had to be made but we must always remember that God is in control of all things. Nothing happens if it is not for God. He allows us to make choices, but he is always is in control. I am here in Iraq to help out with the implementation of Oracle HRMS for the Ministry of Defense for Iraq. Everyday I see the hand of the devil and his demons here, as well as the hand of God, there is so much hate and confusion, but when I calmly sit and ask God to inter vine he does and everything falls into place. I have rockets and mortars fall all around me but nothing touches me. Everything that I did in my life with computers is brought to bear to help us overcome one more problem. People are taken out, but I am able to continue. I appreciate your prayers, but I have a ring side set to the last days that God talks about, when the earth melts with a fervent heat and the rivers are full of blood. God has a purpose for our lives and he leads us to this place where he can use us. We just only need to submit to his will.

The Sabbath

I am now a Seventh Day Adventist. I used to attend the Baptist church, was raised in the Baptist church. When I was confronted by a group of Adventist's they talked about the 'True Sabbath', they pointed out that the Sabbath Day begins on sunset Friday and sunset Saturday. It was difficult for me at the first how to observe the Sabbath. I found that there is a broad range of Adventist. From one extreme they do not listen to music of the world, do not wear makeup, do not wear jewelry, are vegan and dress very modestly. The other extreme, eat meat, use makeup, wear jewelry, listen to all types of music, drink alcohol. It is important to look to Jesus Christ as our example and not people. I have found that people will let you down every time.
